A Wee

My Daughter was entering Primary school within a fortnight and she needed her own bed-study room urgently. I had very stringent criteria for her room. It had to be warm with neutral-earth tones free of visual clutter, indoor lighting had to be at least 400 lumens all round for eyesight protection. Due to space constraints, space-management was also top on our list. Anything gaudy or “obiang” was certainly out. It was the end of Dec 2025 and we needed the room ready in Jan 2026. Goodness gracious. Armed with only one-day’s leave and a DIY-sketched out floor plan, I went to MIND Design’s Ubi showroom early in the morning, not knowing if they’d entertain a small project like mine under pressing time constraints. Chief Designer Sam comes in, and grasped my design & functional needs immediately. Everything after that proceeded with precise project management & clockwork precision: design proposal; rapid dismantling and discarding old furniture; redoing the false ceiling, full electrical wiring & trunking; sound-proof double-glazed windows; painting & plastering; floor polishing; furniture etc, etc. Everything was done & completed on time (nothing short of miraculous especially considering that it was also the holiday season) and exactly as planned (the end result is exactly identical to the artist’s impression in the design proposal). My daughter had always yearned for a “hotel room” to call her own — she has it now. Having so many other work commitments to juggle, MIND Design not only read my MIND, they had also given me something prized — peace of MIND! Highly recommended!
