Although they are well known for loft projects, I was particularly drawn to their clean carpentry, thoughtful lighting design, and elegant feature walls. The consistently positive reviews of Sam Kau gave me the confidence to arrange an appointment. From our first meeting, Sam greeted me warmly and made me feel comfortable. Before proposing any ideas, he took the time to understand my lifestyle, preferences, and priorities. One of my key requirements was having plenty of storage while keeping the home feeling spacious, and he listened patiently before sharing his suggestions. A week later, Sam presented the initial design. I was impressed with the overall concept, though I wanted to make a few changes. He welcomed my feedback and refined the design without hesitation. He also reassured me that most ideas could be achieved through his network of suppliers, giving me confidence that the final result would match my vision. Signing a renovation contract is never an easy decision, but Sam’s professionalism, sincerity, and positive attitude gave me confidence that my home was in good hands. Once work began, there were countless decisions to make—from lighting layouts and fan selections to laminates, cabinetry, and finishing materials. Whenever I was undecided, Sam patiently explained the pros and cons of each option. His ability to visualise the completed home made difficult decisions much easier. More importantly, he never pressured me into making choices and always respected my preferences while suggesting practical alternatives. Throughout the renovation, Sam remained hands-on. From carpentry to selecting lights, curtains, and materials, he was involved every step of the way. We visited several suppliers together, and if something wasn’t quite right, he was happy to continue searching until we found the perfect fit. He also kept me updated regularly by sending progress photos every few days or whenever a major milestone was completed. Although I visited the site about once a week, I was always impressed by how clean and organised everything was. Floors and toilets were properly protected, materials were neatly arranged, and the site reflected the professionalism of both Sam and his team. The renovation was completed in just six weeks, well ahead of the original timeline of two to two and a half months. Walking into the completed home for the first time genuinely exceeded my expectations. The lighting, cabinetry, feature walls, and overall flow came together exactly as I had imagined—if not better. While there were naturally a few minor touch-ups, the workmanship was excellent and closely reflected the original design. One of the biggest surprises was how much more spacious the apartment felt after renovation. Despite adding extensive cabinetry, feature walls, and furniture, the final layout created an even greater sense of openness while significantly improving storage and functionality. It has now been about a week since handover. As I’ve been cleaning and moving in, I find myself appreciating more details every day—from the quality of the carpentry to the warm lighting throughout the home. The entire space feels comfortable, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Looking back, I’m incredibly grateful to Sam for his patience, dedication, and professionalism throughout the renovation journey. He was always responsive to my many questions—even on weekends—and genuinely cared about delivering the best possible outcome.
